The Beagle Club of Queensland is holding its sprint lure coursing day for this year. This will be a sprint event to find the fastest Beagle in Queensland and perhaps Australia. The sprint is held at the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club, Old Cleveland Road, Capalaba.
The sprint meet is being held in conjunction with the Australian Lure Coursing Association’s Sprint competition to find the fastest dog of each breed around Australia. Each dog will run over a straight course of 100 metres and will be timed, with the best of their two times counting. There will be no points scored. This meet is just looking at the timing.
So we can time your Beagles on the day, every Beagle needs to be entered. Your Beagle will be given a number for the day. When your number is called, come to the starting gate for your dog’s run.
Entry Fee $5.00 for each dog, payable on the day.
Registrations begin from 8:00am and the first runs will commence at 8:30am.
This sprint will be conducted by the Queensland Lure Coursing Association, so there will be other breeds there for you to watch and see how fast they are across the 100 metre course.
