Not the winter chill on Sunday the 17th of September, nor the rain that had cancelled two events for the club in the month before, could stop the 46 Beagles from heading out for a walk along the banks of the Brisbane River for their annual University of Queensland and Green Bridge walk.
As always, we had our regulars who will brave anything for the chance to get together with other Beagle owners and get their Beagle fix.
We also had once again, a number of Beagle owners coming along for their first experience of a Beagle Club of Queensland walk.
The walk along the river is quite relaxing – until the trek up the hill to the Dutton Park off leash area. Some of the more experienced and learned members who had been on this walk before, chose the clever option and meet at the off leash park. This also made it easier on the dogs and gave them more time to sniff and play off lead.
The pack’s return trip – much easier down the hill – was met at the end by a delicious morning tea, generously donated by many members of the club and gratefully appreciated by all those who finished the trek.
Thank you to everyone who came along to this walk and to Tracy for organising the 50 board as the raffle for the morning.
