Come along and join the Beagle Club of Queensland Oxenford Lake walk at Damien Leeding Memorial Park.
There are two options for those who attend the walk:
- The full walk around the lake is just over 4km with drink fountains along the way. It is a full concrete path around the lake with plenty of green grass beside the path for Beagles to have a good sniff. The lake is salt water and tidal and there is plenty of places for the dogs to have a swim.
- For those who want something a little more relaxing, you can walk the 800 metres to the dog off-leash area and have a rest while you wait for the others.
As there is not a lot of shade in the area and no chairs, think about bringing a shade and a chair for you to sit on, or a blanket, as the grass is very nice.
If you are coming from Brisbane, take Exit 57 and turn right at the lights into Hope Island Rd. At the next lights, turn right again into Heathwood Drive. We meet on the corner of Heathwood Drive and Watersports Lane.
Please note: the walk is strictly an on-leash walk until you reach the fenced off leash park.
