The Beagle Club of Queensland’s recent walk at Alexander Clark Park in Logan was a delightful gathering of wagging tails and cheerful conversation. Though modest in number, there was a small but dedicated pack of 15 beagles, each one brimming with personality. Their distinctive baying and curious noses set the tone for a relaxed and friendly morning among fellow enthusiasts who share a deep affection for the breed.

What made the day particularly special was the commitment of those who attended. Some members travelled from as far away as Ipswich and Amberley to be part of the walk, demonstrating the strong sense of community within the club. Conversations flowed easily as owners exchanged stories about their beagles’ antics, training triumphs, and the occasional stubborn streak that makes the breed so endearing.

The weather could not have been more accommodating. Mild temperatures and gentle sunshine created perfect conditions for a leisurely stroll. There was no rush, just a comfortable pace that allowed both dogs and humans to enjoy the surroundings. A light breeze drifted through the trees, adding to the relaxed atmosphere as the group set off together.

The walk itself meandered through the leafy parklands and along the Logan River, offering peaceful water views and plenty of interesting scents for the beagles to investigate. True to form, noses were firmly to the ground for much of the journey. The riverside path provided ample space for the pack to move comfortably, while owners enjoyed the calm scenery and the rhythmic sound of paws padding along the track.

One of the highlights of the morning was the fun in the off-leash park. Here, the beagles truly came into their own, racing in joyful bursts, forming playful chases, and occasionally pausing to check in with their humans. Laughter echoed as the pack explored freely, tails held high and ears flapping with every bound. It was a simple yet heartwarming reminder of the joy that comes from shared time outdoors, good company, and a group of happy, spirited beagles.
