For the past several years, the Beagle Club of Queensland has held a twilight walk in August through Southbank to raise awareness of puppy farming. This year the club is changing the venue for our August twilight walk to the Story Bridge and Kangaroo Point.
The walk is on Saturday the 31st of August. This will be a twilight walk, commencing at 5:00pm. This will be a great adventure for the Club and I am sure will be one of the highlight events for 2019. The event is also being held to promote World Day for puppy farming. This day is to shine a light on awareness to the plight of dogs being bred unnecessarily in puppy farms.
The walk will commence at 5:00pm. We will be assembling at around 4:30pm. The assembly point is at the Riverside Promenade park at the end of Holman St, Kangaroo Point. This is on the eastern side of the base of the Story Bridge at Kangaroo Point.
We will be walking along the Riverside Promenade to the base of the Kangaroo Point cliffs, before returning for supper. The walk is approximately 4km. There is also a beach on the river at the base of the park for the dogs to have some fun off leash.
Parking for the walk is along the streets near the Story Bridge, including Holman St and Anderson St.
