Class placings and critiques
Baby Puppy Dog

1st: JOHGRA TYPECAST (AI) (Mr J & Mrs M Grant)
Super breed type, balanced head with long low set ears nice dark eye giving a soft expression, correct angulation front and back with strong back and correct for chest. Moved well, a very promising baby.

2nd: JOHGRA FIRST EDITION (AI) (Mr J & Mrs M Grant & Mr M Bastin & Miss L Rogers)
I see from the catalogue these 2 are litter mates and you can tell, I just preferred the head on the winner but I’m sure they will swap placed many times.
Minor Puppy Dog

1st: AMFOLK BOOTLEGGER AT KARAKUSH(AI) (Mr L R & Mrs H Gibson)
Overall a nice shape but he is lacking bone and body condition which if he does not get back will be detrimental to him growing on.
Puppy Dog

1st: JOHGRA AFFIRMED (AI) (Mr J & Mrs M Grant)
Another well put together baby who I see is sired by the same father as both baby puppies. Well-proportioned head will well placed ears, large eyes I would like them slightly darker but that can come with age. Well arched neck into a correct shoulder. Correct bone and feet. Good body but just needs to strengthen as soft on the move, stifle well bent, moved sound coming and going.

2nd: OROBAY BRAVO ANDREI (Miss R Telfer)
Good body condition solid mature puppy, his head is quite strong and with a furrow which spoils his expression. Good fore chest, good length of neck moderate angulation front and rear, topline strong and level his tail is borderline to gay moved well just his tail spoilt the overall picture

3rd: ASALEI GOLDEN SOLILOQUY (AI) (Mrs E M Ison)
Pleasing head, deep chested, would like more angulation, tail set low and back line tending to roach moved ok, like more reach and drive.
Junior Dog

1st: H. LUNARS TALK IS CHEAP (Mr J & Mrs R Cook)
Good breed type, well put together balanced dog, wouldn’t want him any stronger in head ears could be lower set. He has good muscle tone and showed well, moved soundly.

2nd: GYNTAF LONE SURVIVOR(AI) (Mrs L and Mr J Lanser & Mr L & Mrs H Gibson)
Not enough of him for a male he lacks substance, head ok, chest deep moderate tuck up, good bend of stifle would like a better forehand. Just flicking his front pasterns on the move, like better feet.
Intermediate Dog

1st: CH. OROBAY HEAVEN SENT (Ms S Hutcheson)
Best mover in the class, pleasing head with kind expression, arched neck into good forehand, straight legs with compact feet, just tending to roach which spoilt his outline, would like more rear angulation. Sound mover up and back.

2nd: CH. ASALEI GOLDEN FLAME(AI) (Dr D Stowasser)
Compact dog of smaller mould, viewed from the side he has good head plains but his head is very broad. Would like more angulation front and back, correct bone and tight feet, moderate tuck-up, short coupled. Moved ok but would like more reach and drive.

3rd: OROBAY LOVE NEVER DIES (Ms L Bartley & Ms L Wagner)
Up on his legs, clean head, good substance, like better front assembly, well bent stifle. In good coat and body condition.
Australian Bred Dog

1st: BALDEV UNDER PRESSURE (Sara Skinner)
Frustrating boy as he is well put together with a soft head and expression but he just doesn’t seem to want to be a show dog, I gave him the class for his overall quality and although he moved with is head down he was sound and his tail was up.

2nd: CH. LUKARA DANGER ZONE (Mrs T McNicol)
Substantial dog, not the head of 1, adequate neck, would like longer upper arm, well ribbed, level topline, good tail set. Moved ok.

3rd: AUS CH KISLEV HEY BO DIDDLEY (AI) (Sharen Bell)
Compact dog with a pleasing head piece, correct bone and substance, short coupled, would like better rear angulation, tended to run down hill.
Bred By Exhibitor Dog

1st: CH. LUNARS LEND A PAW(AI) (Mr J & Mrs R Cook)
Masculine head without coarseness, clean neck and shoulders, good ribs strong topline, well muscled rear, correct bone, moved well in profile, I considered him hard for top honours but he was just moving to wide behind and tended to throw his front when the handler baited him on the move, I did award him Res dog and found out later he was the son of my Best Bitch however we are judging on the day and that was my deciding factor on this day.

2nd: CH. OROBAY HEAVEN ONLY KNOWS (Miss R Telfer)
Good breed type, correct head with soft expression, super fore hand just didn’t have the rear to match, would like his hock more let down. Well ribbed back with short loin, tail set a little low. Moved ok just not the reach and drive of 1.

3rd: CH. LUKARA GHOST RIDER (Mrs T McNicol)
Nice breed type also, just longer cast then the others, pleasing head, angulation ok, a little loaded in shoulder. Moved ok.
Open Dog

1st: CH. HOLLYJAC SPECIAL EDITION N.SPRD JC. (Dee Roff)
My eventual BIS winner, this dog is not flashy but he is houndy and workman like, he excels on the move and didn’t falter and that is what I liked about him, he was very well put together in solid condition. He carried himself around the ring with ease and very sound coming and going with reach and drive.

2nd: A2O CH C.I.B. SUP.CH. LUNARS JIMMY NEUTRON (Kezziah Kennels & Mr J Cook & Mrs R Cook)
Although different in style as 1 he was very typey to many of my days class winner and that became apparent when I got my catalogue after the show, I like him a lot he was perhaps more shapely then my winner but he wasn’t as clean on the move.

3rd: CH BALDEV BANDIT (Sara Skinner)
Another quality male who was balanced, compact body moderately angled, pleasing head, good muzzle. Correct bone and neat feet. Moved ok.
Baby Puppy Bitch

1st: DROPTHAT MERRY MISS (Mr G & Mrs J Laker)
One of the prettiest heads of the day, good length of leg, correct bone for age, needs to drop in body but all age related, moved well, merry hound.

2nd: JOHGRA READ ALL ABOUT IT (AI) (Mr J & Mrs M Grant)
2nd and 3rd could change place, as very similar today I just like the overall balance of the 2nd and had a better head at this time.

3rd: JOHGRA PUBLISH OR PERISH (AI) (Mr J & Mrs M Grant)
More up on leg then 2nd but I just prefer the head on 2nd at this time but all three very promising babies.
Minor Puppy Bitch

1st: JOHGRA SOMETHING ROYAL (AI) (Mr J & Mrs M Grant)
Loved this baby, she just had the look of quality all through, I would have happily put her in my suitcase given the chance, I don’t think I need to say more, except I will be following her career. Moved well all ways.

2nd: AMFOLK GENU WINE DESIGN AT KARAKUSH(AI) (Mr J & Mrs R Cook & Mr L & Mrs H Gibson)
Another promising baby with a feminine head, ok for bone nice angulation just not the depth of body as 1, moved well.

3rd: BALDEV FANCY PANTS (Miss S Skinner)
Compact well bodied bitch, correct bone and feet just not the mover as the others.
Puppy Bitch

1st: CH. KEZZIAH LETS GO CRAZY (Kezziah Kennels)
Good breed type, pleasing head and well set ears, correct front assembly, super bone and feet, would like her ribs to extend back further, would like shorter rear pasterns as she tended to cycle on the rear instead of driving. She did move parallel up and back.

2nd: LUKARA LIMITLESS DREAMS (Mrs T McNicol)
Kind expression, correct bone and feet, deep chest, longer in loin, would like a better bend of stifle and shorter rear pasterns this combination made her bum high and roach when moving.
Junior Bitch

1st: LUKARA NOTHING BUT WILD (Mrs T McNicol)
Sweet feminine head with good pigment and nice dark eye of correct shape, well placed leathers. Chest deep, ribcage shorter making her look more tucked up. Heavier in front then rear, just causing her to break in topline.

2nd: KISLEV EVERYBODY HAS A DREAM (Mrs S Bell)
Pleasing head, good bone and feet nice fore chest and forehand slightly longer cast, straight in rear would like a shorter rear pastern, when in profile moving bum high.
Intermediate Bitch

1st: CH. LUKARA TAKE MY BREATH AWAY (Mrs T McNicol)
Stronger bitch, but still had a feminine head, she was good for bone and substance matching angulation front and rear, I would like to shorted her up a fraction in loin. Moved well.

2nd: SZKARLAT EMERGANCE OF NEBULA (Mr R & Mrs K Wachs)
Feminine head, good ribs straighter through the front would like a longer upper arm, moderate tuck up, moved well.

3rd: TREEVIEW FALLEN WARRIOR (karen mangan)
Nice breed type just heavier though the body, pleasing head, would like a little more leg, was just moving close behind.
Australian Bred Bitch

1st: AUS CH KISLEV DREAM ALITTLE DREAMOFME (AI) (Sharen Bell)
Good breed type, correct bone and good substance, pleasing head and expression, moderately angled front and rear, lengthy neck, strong topline moved ok all ways.

2nd: CH. OROBAY ALL THAT JAZZ (Miss R Telfer)
Feminine, could do with less weight as it made her look stuffy in neck and a bit throaty, straight legs with good bone and feet, well ribbed back level topline, moved ok.

3rd: CH TAMBALLA TOUCH THE MOON (J Gray and R Hyman)
Balanced head just a bit plain, ears well set of good length, angulation moderate, well ribbed back just a shade longer in loin. Sound rear just flicking her front pasterns.
Bred By Exhibitor Bitch

1st: KUNANYI ROYAL PORTRAIT (Mr G & Mrs J Laker)
Pretty 10 month old bitch who makes a nice shape, she does need to tighten in front but she appealed to me for breed type, compact with deep chest, short backed strong loin, I would be very careful not to get to much weight on her shoulders.

2nd: AUST CH TREEVIEW MARILYN MONROE (karen mangan)
Nice overall balance but stronger more masculine in head, she moved well.

3rd: ASALEI GOLDEN SPIRIT(AI) (Mrs E Ison)
Unfortunately she was carrying to much weight which made her loaded through the shoulders which is a shame as she has a good length of next and well placed shoulders.
Open Bitch

1st: SUP.CH. LUNARS WHENU WISH UPON A STAR(AI) (Mr J & Mrs R Cook)
Good class, well put together bitch in excellent show condition, head slightly stronger but free from any wrinkle and with her well placed leathers and large dark eye with good pigment it gave her the kind soft expression. She stood well on good legs with balanced angulation. Sound moving RBIS.

2nd: CH. JOHGRA PURPLE REIGN (Mr J Grant)
Another nice bitch that also moved soundly she just wasn’t as well angled as 1st she was compact with good length of leg.

3rd: CH. OROBAY MYSTICAL IMAGE (Miss R Telfer)
Slightly longer cast who had good reach and drive, pretty head, unfortunately she was not in great skin condition which played a factor in her placing.
Veteran Bitch

1st: CH. BALDEV BETTE DAVIS (Miss R Telfer)
Super breed type and a good mover, well put together and still has that soft expression.
Neuter Classes
Neuter Dog

1st: AUST. NEUT. CH. CULORGAIR FINALE (Jeff and Desley Souter)
Well made dog who powered around the ring, soft head and expression, sound up and back.

2nd: ASALEI GOLDEN AFTERGLOW(AI) (Mrs E Ison)
Beautiful headed boy who was in great condition, just not the mover as 1st.

3rd: CH TAMBALLA TALE OF THE PHOENNIX (Jenny Gray)
Nice type, like better angles pleasing head.
Neuter Bitch

1st: CH. NEUT. CH. CULORGAIR FORLUKARA (Mrs T McNicol)
Longer cast, good fore hand, pleasing head, moved well.

2nd: NEUT. CH. OROBAY MYSTICAL SPIRIT (Ms R Sengstock)
Pretty head, deep chest well ribbed, ok for bone would like more angles.

3rd: CH. NEUT. CH. CULORGAIR FORFILNOR (Jeff and Desley Souter)
Nice breed type, just carrying a bit of extra weight that spoilt her on the move.
